Health and Happiness

Hi, sorry its been a while.
I have been experimenting with silk scarves and shibori dying techniques. Here is a little sample.

And my latest little prototype bear from yet another new pattern!!

Life has been a bit rough and choppy lately with virtually no income, my husband facing some potential serious health problems and my mum having been told she had a brain tumour one day and now it seems more likely a form of Epilepsy. More Doctors to visit and hopefully positive news to come in the next few months. If it doesn't rain it pours as the old saying goes!

And today is the 17th anniversary of my fathers death from Cancer in 1994. Mum and I nursed him at home on a remote Aboriginal Community through his last 9 months on this earth. Our father/daughter relationship was difficult, but, he was my dad and I still miss him.
Cheers to you Dad.

  2. Hi Di,
I'm so sorry things are not going well in your neck of the woods. I hope hubby is going to be OK, and your Mum comes out of this awful ordeal alright. You must be trying to keep moral up and being positive for them both. You are in my prayers.
I love your scarves the colours are great.
Hopefully things will be better with sales soon.
    Hugs
